Aloo - Paneer Paratha
Ingredients:
For the Stuffing
3 Large potatoes boiled and mashed
1/2 cup paneer grated
1 large onion (finely Chopped )
1 tsp Cumin Powder (Jira Powder)
1 tbsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp sunflower oil
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder Or 2 Green Chilies (Finely Chopped)
1 bunch coriander Leaves Chopped
Salt to Taste
1/2 Chat Masala
4 Cloves Garlic, minced
2 tbsp ginger, minced
Juice from 1 lemon
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder Or 2 Green Chilies (Finely Chopped)
1 bunch coriander Leaves Chopped
Salt to Taste
1/2 Chat Masala
4 Cloves Garlic, minced
2 tbsp ginger, minced
Juice from 1 lemon
Dough:
2 cups whole wheat flour or multigrain flour
1/2 tsp salt
Water to bind the dough
1/2 tsp salt
Water to bind the dough
· Butter to fry the Parathas
· Direction To Cook The Stuffing:
1. Heat the oil in large non - stick pan and add the cumin seeds,onion,ginger ,garlic and chilli.
Cook until the oil separates from the onion mixture.
2. Add the paneer,mashed potatoes,lemon juice,cumin seed powder,coriander seed powder, coriander,chat masala and salt. Cook until it comes away from the sides of the pan.
Leave it to Cool.
Direction to Prepare the Dough:
1. Combine 2 cups whole wheat flour, 1/2 tsp salt and water stir together with a spoon until it's knead
into a dough for few minutes until the sides come clean. The dough should be soft but not sticky.
Direction To Prepare the Parathas:
1. Divide the dough into portions and fill the Prepared stuffing.
2. Fry the rolled paratha on tawa with butter. Fry till the turns golden brown and edges turn crispy.
Serve aloo paneer paratha hot with curd.
Recipe Notes:
1. You can increase the amount of paneer as per taste.
2. If butter in not available use ghee to fry the parathas.
